Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots devastate in romantic drama All of You

Maureen Lee Lenker, Entertainment Weekly // September 9, 2024

Apart from the sci-fi element of the soulmate test, it's familiar fodder for romantic drama, but it's of the highest caliber thanks to its sharp script and devastating central performances. The pining, particularly from Goldstein, is palpable and devestating. It's so visceral and painful at times that I felt nauseous from the ways it evokes the exquisite torture of unrealized love. Goldstein and Poots have electric chemistry, the air between them practically shimmering with want any time they share the screen. Their love scenes are genuinely sexy, their taboo nature translating to a high-stakes eroticism for the audience.

It's laughter through tears, which makes the relationship feel vibrantly, vividly alive…. The film simply wrecks us as much as it does its two characters, delivering a weepie of the highest order.

‘All of You’ Review: Imogen Poots and Brett Goldstein Try to Defy a Future in which Soulmates Are Real

David Ehrlich, Indiewire // September 8, 2024

The test might seem to free people from the peril of their own decisions, and yet, for all of its sliver-like smallness, “All of You” cuts deep enough into the no-concept reality of our own lives because it never forgets that we may not get to choose who we love, but we always have a say in the love that we choose.

Review: All of You at TIFF 2024

Monica Castillo, RogerEbert.com // September 13, 2024

Both Goldstein and Poots share enough steamy chemistry to keep their characters’ flame for each other burning throughout the film. Their moments together crackle with sparks as they share childish jokes in fancy restaurants, sneaking away like teenagers for another forbidden tryst, and yes, steeling themselves for another heartbreaking goodbye.
